BABY BARGAINS...

at the Ladera Ranch Community Garage Sale. It seemed as though close to 1 in 10 houses participated which was perfect because you see, I needed a lot of stuff for our baby Popcorn as we have named him/her. I really was thinking our family was complete so I have gotten rid of most things as Bryce has been growing out of them. Luckily I kept the crib, I have an infant car seat and my most favorite thing The Baby Bjorn. With this being our last baby for sure (I have already signed the paperwork for... you know) I do not want to invest loads of money to buy stuff that only this child will ever have. Also, so much of these things you only use for a small amount of time but they are all life savers during those times.



I spent a grand total of $70.00 which is a great deal for this gem alone…
So cute, I love it!!!

Yeah for garage sales!!!!

It is funny because a few of these items were the exact same kind I owned before.

Also if any of you want to sell a baby swing, the kind that swings both ways let me know, that is the last thing I want to make sure I have.

HAIR TODAY......GONE TO....

CHARITY

O.K. so I think it might be easy for most to figure out that I love long hair. I like it on myself and I like it on my girls. I have cut my hair a little above my shoulders and it never looked good and was harder for me to style. So for all the people who say long hair must be so hard to do well, it is not, for me it has always been easier. I also enjoy fixing my girls hair every morning.





I guess a blessing of having a long hair is that you can give it away and make a difference for someone else. When the girls both heard that they would be doing a fundraiser at their school called “Pony up your Ponytail” they were ready to sign up. They would use this donated hair to make wigs for children with cancer. They have been looking forward to doing it for months. As a Mom I could not be more pleased with their generous donation. I was getting a lot of slack for not doing it myself, but since I am already feeling big and pregnant I thought chopping off my hair right now might send me over the top, maybe next year.



Their school did such a great job in making the room look so cute

and making the girls feel special for what they were doing.

They had a lot of fun having an audience of their friends to cheer them on in support. It was pretty funny.

I wanted to get some pics of the girls all finished by the cute decorations but they both ran off so fast to be with friends, I never got a chance. So we took a few in some bad light back at home but they look darling. They were so cute and could not stop talking about how light it felt and all the cute styles they would wear.

Girls you will always be beautiful !!!

EASTER 09...

this will be a recap of our last weeks activities. Easter is all about having egg hunts.

Who does not enjyoy coloring eggs? The kids could not get enough. I had each of them do 5 and well that is not enough so instead of doing 2 dozen

I think I need to go to 4 and finally make myself learn how to do deviled eggs.






I was shocked when Joe asked me why it was that the Easter bunny always hides the baskets at our house, what!!! I guess the bunny never did that in their house growing up but in ours that is always what he did and it was so much fun to go searching for it as well as the eggs. Our Easter bunny will always hide the baskets!!

Easter Day was perfect! Church was wonderful! Then we had our family over for a yummy dinner and of course one more egg hunt.

is not only Taryn's cousin they are best friends. Today we went to her birthday party but there were a few loved one's missing so this post is for them.

Speaking of 7...

that is how many years Taryn has been patiently waiting to lose a tooth. Starting in kindergarten kids start losing their teeth left and right. The day before we were going to leave to see her cousin Hailey who is still 5 but almost 6 her Mom texted us a picture of her with her first lost tooth. This really must have not sat well with Taryn because after we got to Vegas the very next day she informed me she had a loose tooth, and it did seem a little loose. Well all that day she would not stop wiggling it and about 8 hours later she had lost her first tooth the same one as her cousin.

SHE'S ALREADY ...

Taryn was my littlest baby. She surprised us 3 weeks early and only weighed 5 lbs 1 oz. It made me so nervous at how smalll she was but luckily she grew quickly and became my most squeezable and plump baby.



I am now following the pattern of this brilliant friend of mine and doing birthday parties every other year. The year we do not do a party we do a family party and some sort of fun activity. My Taryn loves animals and we decided to go the San Diego Wild Animal Park.



The park is beautiful and huge. I got the workout of my life pushing the stroller around with all the hills. Overall, the day was perfect and hopefully it is a birthday she will always remember.





We loved feeding the lorikeets




And of course the butterfly exhibit was amazing





There was a cute kids play area with dress up

We finished off our wonderful day with cupcakes, yum!!!
