SUMMER=SWIMMING

Taryn and Josh just spent the last 2 weeks in Swimming Lessons.

They both did great!!


Taryn is swimming like a pro now, yeah!!!


She has also mastered the diving board!


Josh is not swimming strong yet, but he can float :)

And find rings

And look cute!!


We need a little more time with this!


We love Jennifer!!! It was fun having her as his teacher!

We are now ready to swim all summer long!

NEVER A DULL MOMENT...

We have been busy this last week, here are some highlights:

TUESDAY - DISNEYLAND with Michelle, her Mom and Kaleb. We had a great time and it was so nice of her Mom to come along because when there is 1 adult for each kid things run a lot smoother.


It was however a very busy day so we found ourselves going on things like this

The boys are both into pirates and had a lot of fun.


WEDNESDAY - BROWNIE PARTY AND AWARDS!!! Anika received 10 new patches. I am certain, most Moms sew the patches onto their girls vests. I however, use hot glue so it takes 2 minutes and when the patches start to fall off you just use the iron to reheat the glue and they stick right back on, shameful I know.


FRIDAY - CAMP ROCK PARTY!!!!! We ate pizza and watched the movie.




The girls sang, danced and rocked out with all the good music and with lots of room

to move around, in an almost empty house.

Some girls even had a few boys they found to dance with.


We then had a food fight with popcorn started by you know who.


After the movie, it was off to the park for our silly string fight.


The girls had tons of fun with this.





We finished the night with brownie sundaes, yum!!!

SATURDAY - FAMILY PICTURES and FUN PARTIES - I will be doing a longer post on our pictures later but we had to share our favorite photo of the day, thanks Bryce.


Then it was off to Birthday Party #1 - A surprise pool party for a cute 7 year old.






Then Birthday #2 - A Thomas the train party at the park for a cute 3 year old.



Bryce never likes to leave a party empty handed.

SUNDAY - Church. The girls do not often like to look like twins but every once in a while they humor me.






MONDAY- 2ND GRADE AWARDS ASSEMBLY - Anika received 2 awards, the 1st for attendance, luckily we only get really ill when they are off-track and we should be playing :). The 2nd for Math!!!! Go girl!!!

FATHER'S DAY...

OPEN HOUSE...

This is one of Anika and Taryn's favorite nights of the year. They work so hard in school and can not wait to show us their class rooms. Overall, this year has been great!!! They both have done so well in school and have been blessed with wonderful teachers and really nice kids in their classes.

Taryn's class was done really great, they had a pond theme and all the kids came in green with their cute frog hats on.

This is Kafia her best friend.





Alli is in preschool here so Taryn has fun seeing her sometimes during recess.


Both of their teachers this year were not only

TALENTED and SMART they are GRORGEOUS as well.


I was fortunate enough to be able to help in Anika's class this year which was so much fun. Mrs. VanVoorst is an amazing teacher and it made me want to go back to second grade. It is easy to love school when you get a teacher like her.

Anika had so much fun having girls from Church in her class this year.




This was one of her big projects that would not of been complete without

STICKERS FROM JOY !!!


Bryce made the evening fun when he refused to leave the bikes in the

Kinder play area, that face says it all.


We finished our FUN night with the BEST DESSERT EVER!!!

A FREE TUESDAY NIGHT?

When we got home from Church on Sunday, Joe made the declaration

‘Guess what guys, we get our Mommy back, yeah!!!’ For 4 ½ years I have served in Young Womens and have loved every minute being there. My girls are incredible and easy to love, they made all the time I spent away from my family and on the calling worth it. Anyhow, I have blocked out Tuesday night now for years and it felt a little funny to stop and think of what I was going to do without needing to head out the door to mutual. I grabbed Josh and Bryce and decided Disneyland seemed like the perfect place, for a late afternoon and into the evening fun.

Disneyland is starting to get very crowded so we quickly found ourselves over at California Adventure.

I have been told by many people that they think Bryce looks like the

Incredibles Baby.

I guess I can see it?

One of Josh's favorite rides is the lady bugs and because

I love him I go on it every time :)

The brother bear area is always a fun place to play

I had to bribe Josh with candy to get him away from this thing. What is it you ask? Well it is starts spinning really fast and the scene comes alive, it is really cool!!!

You can find it inside that Imaginarium area in California Adventure.

I will be going on more Disney adventures the next few Tuesday nights before our passes are blocked out for summer, if anyone wants to join us, let me know :)

But even Disneyland could not take away the feeling that,

I MISS BEING WITH THEM ALREADY.
