MY 100th POST!!!
I was supposed to do this all in January with a long paragraph on all the goals I had set for 2010 and with loads of reflection over the last decade. My reality is I am lucky to be getting any post done at all these days. We have been busy...I know we all are. I plan on doing a mega post in the next few days of all that we have been up to since the start of the year.
I have been doing some deep reflecting however because it was 10 years ago today that I had the title of MOTHER bestowed upon me.
My Anika is 10 years old (deep sigh)......and it has all gone by so fast.
My birthday present the year she was born was a day of being in labor.
She would not make her arrival however until the 23rd at 4:36a.m.
She woke up this morning to a surprise of her bedroom door being all wrapped up.
She did not have a big party this year, we are fans of the every other year party thing. We went to Cafe Rio...her favorite place to eat right now...YES!!! and ordered their coconut shrimp tacos with mango salsa so yummy, and my new favorite and then it was of to Frostings (very close to as good as sprinkles) for some yummy cupcakes.
Her big gift was our newest member of the family Sunshine Sprinkles.
So far she has been a sweet little hamster.
Next year I hope to scan in a lot of old cute baby pictures of Anika for her birthday post because I will for sure find more time then right?
I did find some pictures from her birthday when she was 4 and we had just got our digital camera. It was a Unicorn party... and Yes that is a unicorn bounce house in the background.
I think I called like 50 places to get that thing.
Anika is such an amazing daughter and we are so grateful to have her in our family.

I can not wait to see all the great things she will do in her life and I am having fun watching her transform into such a beautiful, smart and strong young lady.
