SPA DAY...

I realize these last few posts have been all about Anika but they all took place over her Birthday week. It is actually my birthday week as well, hers is the day after mine but somehow I find myself focusing on her which is I guess good since I am getting old, I can officially say I am in my mid 30's, yikes. Joe would say I was doing all these posts on Anika because she is the oldest child as was I in my family and I am giving her all the attention and praise that I always wanted to have, whatever :)

This year Anika wanted to have a Spa Party. When the girls arrived we had them relax under the gazebo with bottled waters, chocolate and great 9 year old reading material (magazines loaded with pics of all the Disney TV stars) She has been begging me to buy those forever.

Then it was off to relax and rejuvenate in the Spa where we served them delicious fruit smoothies.

After drying off from the spa it was time to get facials which was a lot of fun. We had the face soap, exfoliant, mask, spritz and lotion. This is a pic of the mask drying which a many of them had fun peeling off. It looked like they were peeling off their skin, creepy yet cool.

The next thing we did was nails and hair. During this part I was working really hard so I have no pictures. I also have to give a shout out to my wonderful sister in law Michelle who helped me, ok that is not accurate, saved the day by being there with us. These girls knew what they wanted and all of them requested French Manicures which took forever but they came out so cute and luckily for them Michelle is a pro at doing flowers so their hands and feet looked great. I feel like 9 is right at that stage where they are still little girls but are wanting to grow up so fast. We got a chuckle that they wanted to go run on the golf course and play around. We were like, "but your nails" but even the nails still being a little wet was not enough to stop them. We did have to do some repair work later. We also did their hair with these cute fake hair scruchies that had many going from medium length to long. We finished the night with dinner, cake, and presents. I was told once again as I am every year that, this was the best party ever so I must be doing a little something right :)
