DISNEYLAND IN THE FALL...

is my favorite!!! It is during this time of the year that I go at least once a week. The crowds are small, the weather is starting to get cooler and I love all the fun Halloween decorations and activities.


We always meet up with Kaleb and Aunt Chelle who my kids just adore and her wonderful Mom and now that Josh knows she is Kalebs Grandma he is her new best friend.







Every year my kids give me new challenging pumpkins to carve so I was paying close attention to them carving all these amazing disney characters and scenes.

and Bryce tries to sneak it on whenever he gets a chance.

My crazy boy is always trying to get everyone to laugh.


They have an area set up up by Thunder mountain for (FREE) face painting that the kids loved getting done.

Halloween is just around the corner which is a good thing since the question I get everyday from Josh is "Mom, is today Halloween?" Then the next question is "Mom are we going to Disneyland today?"

SOCCER MOMS ROCK...

really, and I am speaking from experience, they do!!! Having your children in soccer is all consuming; we have practice 3 days a week and then the games on Saturdays. It is always so exciting when it first starts in early August and then towards the end of the season in early November I am so done. The girls both love to practice and play and have really enjoyed this season. Their teams are doing well but most importantly they are just having so much fun out there. I did not ever play soccer when I was young and did not have the desire at all, gymnastics was more my thing. I really missed out though, because I love the whole teamwork aspect of it. The games are also a lot of fun to watch and I find myself despite others around trying to distract me really into the games.

Taryn’s team name is the FIREBALLS

Whenever the coach asks who wants to play goalie Taryn is always the first to raise her hand.

For a parent however, it is the hardest position to watch.


We notice with Taryn the more we cheer the faster she runs. GO TARYN!!!!

Girls always need cute bows in their hair for sports. The bigger the better.

Anika plays for the GREEN MACHINES.

Her team has won all but one game and average about 5 goals per game.
These kids are always cheering.

There is nothing like the treat at at the end of the game.

Thanks girls for always having a good attitude, showing great team work, having fun and playing hard.

A PERFECT DAY...

It was, in the city of Angels. I loved going to USC for many reasons one of which was that, I loved living in Los Angeles. I am a city girl through and through. I feed off the energy and excitement only city living provides. Everytime we drive into the city my heart is full of excitment and I find any excuse to go up to L.A.

One of the best of course being a football game.



As a small USC football fan we have a phrase we use called, THE PERFECT DAY!They do not happen all that often but it is great when they do. This is when USC wins their game and then ucla and notre dame lose theirs and oh, all the moons are aligned:) This ended up being a PERFECT DAY.


This day was also fun because it was just my parents and sister and only 1 of the kids . Bryce loved every minute of being an only child and having 4 adults to shower him with all their undivided attention.

We always eat at this awesome picnic before the game, yum!!


During the picnic the team walks through and Bryce was getting into giving all the players high fives, his new thing.


Here is to enjoying many more perfect days as the season continues.

SEA WORLD...

Life has been so busy with the kids back in school and with soccer in full swing.

Fall ends up being a bit of a blur for me every year. Also, over these last two weeks, we have all gotten this nasty cold that the kids each had for about 3 days and I ended up having for like 10, yuck. So it was wonderful this past weekend to finally feel good and get out to Sea World. Thank you Lynnette!!! Joe was out of town on business but off we went anyhow. We got there the moment it opened and stayed until they kicked us out of there. It was a perfect fall day and we were able to get to every show,

go on every ride and see every animal exhibit.

We all enjoyed the shamu show, it was so well done.

I was actually getting emotional during it.


I finally broke down and bought Bryce the leash a few months back. It has been a life saver. I always thought parents that had these were so horrible, how could they... and I was CERTAIN none of my little angels would ever...well I am getting weak I guess, but he is #4 and a runner...It has been the best $9.00 I have ever spent.


I would say our favorite thing was the dolphine show and feeding the dolphines.

The girls wanted to feed them so bad so I bought the 3 slimey, dead, smelly fish and then they decided they were too grossed out to do it. So I went first and have to admit it was a little gross and then they finally got brave and did it.


Another highlight was holding star fish.


We really did enjoy everything at Sea World. I do not think we will ever get season passes because it is just far enough of a drive and because you can do everything they have to offer in one day. I would say it is a once every 2 to 3 year place to visit.

There is nothing like THE END of a great day!!!

I can't wait for HSM 3!!!!

BACK TO SCHOOL TIME...

After a fun but longer than we are used to summer, the girls are finally back at school.

Anika is in 3rd grade and Taryn is in 1st.
They both love school and are excited to get back!!!

Life for me at home is maybe just a little quieter but still just as busy with the destructive nature of the boys and now no one to tattle on them.



May this be your best year ever girls!!!
